The advantages are proven written,clear information,a record will be kept,communicated in written format,long distance to take place and act as a form of record expected at times.
The disadvantages are take times to deliver, not 100% security, easily open or mail to the wrong address,take time to proceed if it is an urgent letter,ni guarantee if the letter was received and have to wait longer time to wait for me recipient to respond.

The advantages are excellent in keeping record,not necessary to hold on to the recipient,simply send & receive it anytime anywhere you want,removing hassle busy people and able to send carbon copy(CC) and save it as a draft in your email folder.
The disadvantages are not personable talking,not practical in writing down on a paper and stash it away,dependent on many things such as instance power and internet connection if the power goes out and no backup if server crashes.
